6 Month Old Dog Having Trouble With Potty Training...HELP!?

We adopted our dog at 11 weeks old. Not being the first puppy we had, we started him off with crate and potty training. He is six months now and still has not got the "outside" thing down.
1st, he will piddle or pee when waking up in his crate before we can get him to the door.
2nd, he does go again outside and poops too, but when he comes back in he poops and pees about 10 mins later!
3rd, then as the night progresses he will end up peeing on the floor about 8 times, not huge messes but enough to call it a pee spot and ends up pooping about 4-5 times.
I'm quite sure he is not urine marking, he is not lifting his leg either.
He just looks at me while he is doing it. I try to halt him and give a correction and take him outside, but he still goes in the house. I have limited his water, Ive made verbal corrections and I have made sure he is drained when outside.
We praise when he does go outside and crate training properly (he is very used to his crate).
But I am at a loss as to what to do. When correcting for anything that he does bad, he doesnt act like this phases him one bit. He just acts happy that I do that!
He does NOT have any symptoms of a UTI or seem to show any distress when having a bowel movement too. We arent feeding him too much.
I have tried confining him to a smaller space, that doesnt work. Now I am trying leashing him to me while he is out. This is impossible with 3 other dogs (fixed females) wanting to jump and play with him.

Anyone have experience with this? Any suggestions?

When it comes time to potty training cats or kittens, you will quickly notice there are many differences between them and dogs. Most dog owners prefer to completely house break their pets while cats generally get the luxury of an indoor potty spot. Cat's potty training most of the time includes the use of a litter box or similar device.

Cat's potty training does not have to be extremely difficult if you take a few basic steps. Kittens and cats are very intelligent feline creatures but they are also creatures of habit. The best way to begin your potty training is to start them as young as possible to instill the habit. A litter box is probably your best option. There are several different types of litter boxes you can choose from, starting with a basic plastic box and litter is the simplest and cheapest way to go but there are also more elaborate set ups where the litter box practically cleans itself! Set the litter box up in a location away from the main living area, as cats prefer a little privacy!

Once you have chosen a litter box you usually just need to set your small kitty in the box once or twice to give them the right idea. When you potty train cats the main thing you have to watch for is accidents outside the box. This area will need to be cleansed very well to remove all traces of scent, as the smell is an indicator of a good potty spot.

The first day or so of cat potty training is always the most difficult. You will need to keep a close eye on their behavior and watch for signs that they are searching for a potty spot. When you see your cat making circles, or scratching at the floor especially in the corner, gently pick them up and place them in the litter box. Once they have used the box successfully, you will have succeeded in your cat's potty training.
